I shot this shiny helmet while covering a middle school ROTC program. A crew from the National Guard flew a Blackhawk helicopter in for the event. On the Blackhawk was a Marine I photographed in April 2006 while he was saying goodbye to his wife and 2-year-old son. He sent me a very moving e-mail from Iraq about the picture I took of him and I was so thankful to see him with his family today.
