I went to bomb school with Bo yesterday and had a blast (I'm sorry, I couldn't refuse).

04.27.09 rain, rain, go away
A flooded basement in Butler County, Kansas. Ah, the joys of Kansas weather. Here's a video I shot of the very colorful home owner (sadly, I couldn't use most of his comments since he was a little too expressive for our Web site).

04.15.09 Thanks, Andy
I love receiving packages from the photo lab I use. Not only is their work fantastic, but they always include a Tootsie Pop. Now that's service!

04.14.09 Poppy and Puddin'
This lovely wooden postcard was sent from Robin with the surprise announcement that she and her honey got married on Easter Sunday in a small ceremony at the Arb. I'm so excited for those two, Micah and Sister Stella.

04.13.09 tulips and two lips
My lovely assistant and I did an engagement shoot at the Bartlett Arboretum today for an incredible couple (we'll also be shooting their wedding later this summer). The Arb is freaking gorgeous right now with color popping out all over the joint. You should check it out yourself (WARNING: Mudbugs plug coming right up) this weekend at Art at the Arb. It's a great event where you can take in (and home) art, nature and the natural wonder that is the Mudbugs Cajun & Zydeco Band at 4:30 on Saturday, April 18.

04.12.09 a very rockin' Easter
CRG played with the band at Grace Presbyterian. He's singing Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" here with his bro, Nick. They also did U2's "In The Name Of Love" (two songs you don't normally hear in most churches). The band director shared a little bit of Easter love with all of his peeps at the end of the service.

Bud performs a pretty funny Bud-o-logue during rehearsal. I'd tell you more, but I want you to see for yourself.

04.06.09 Korg in the kitchen
Carter has been playing his Korg in the kitchen lately. We learned that it's probably what the creators of "Baby Got Back" used in the classic song.Check out this video I shot on Saturday. It's the first in an ongoing series I plan to do of musicians in my kitchen. Uche was at our place on Friday serenading us while CRG cooked up some Indian food.

04.02.09 grip-n-grin
I photographed Brian congratulating Fernando for winning the "Best of the Eagle" award for 2008 photography. The winning picture was a moving picture of an older brother shielding his younger brother's eyes from a crime scene where a mother and daughter were killed by a drunk driver in front of a school. Oddly, the award was presented on the same day the drunk driver was sentenced.
