03.29.11 not bad for an 8-year-old

Colin tried his hand at using chopsticks and he's pretty good. My grandfather taught me how to use them when I was the same age.

03.28.11 aerial photography

The seniors of spring sports at Wichita Northwest High School or something like that. I wonder if they do a freshmen of fall photo, too.

03.27.11 JOY

Mama G fixing her famous flapjacks. Sadly her day was probably ruined a few hours later when her beloved Jayhawks lost in the NCAA tournament.

03.26.11 Uncommon Ground

Spent part of the day suffering with allergies from the great outdoors while snuggling with my cat on the couch. The other part was spent working on a documentary about the great outdoors, the Bartlett Arboretum to be more specific. What you're looking at is a screenshot of the project in Final Cut Pro. It's kinda like Tetris minus the Russian folk tune.

03.25.11 blooming Magnolias

The Arb is starting to come alive and just in time for our next gig on Saturday, April 9 at Art at the Arb.

03.18.11 Macho Nachos

Some pretty good bar food in honor of the tournament. The sour cream was a bit much, but pretty delish overall.

03.15.11 more basketball

I went to Emporia to shoot All-State basketball players. Joanna Chadwick is not one of them but she is a lovely model who stepped in to help me test the lights. Thanks.

03.14.11 a happy accident

The flash didn't go off but I thought this was kind of cool. It's the silhouette of a high school basketball player I was shooting because she was chosen to be on the Eagle's All-Metro team.

03.13.11 where travel mugs go to hibernate

Somebody cleaned out his car.

03.12.11 there's no crying in basketball

Well, of course there is some. I know I shed many tears on the court during my day, too. Here's more hoops action from the tournament. I spent the afternoon in Salina shooting 4A and the evening in Wichita at the 6A tournament.

03.03.11 returning to life

This kitchen plant looked pretty poor when we returned from India, but it seems to be coming back to life now. It's taken almost a week for me to recover from the trip, but I'm getting there, too.

02.28.11 jet lag

It's been rough. I've been fantasizing about feeling 100 percent again. Hopefully soon. I'm just thankful I was able to adjust pretty quickly in India.
