I love this gym. This is the last season it will be used for games as a shiny new one is being built on the property. The good news is that it won't be razed.
Went to a huge auction in Oklahoma City of merchandise seized from a recording studio owner who defrauded the government out of millions of dollars through his prosthetic limb making company. This guy had a ton of stuff. It all went for really high dollars. In a lot of cases it went for more than it costs new. We didn't get anything and I didn't get a chance to raise my hand, which made me sad but it was fun. The good news is that the taxpayers got a good chunk of money back.
The Big Well Museum in Greensburg is great. It tells the story of the the well, the tornado and the rebirth of the town. It is not, however, for those afraid of heights.
I've heard several different explanations of the Shocker that I won't explain here. Shockers UP! The picture was one of more than 2,000 frames I took at the game for this video.
The second-graders were in charge of today's assembly and each group presented their dreams just like Dr. King presented his dreams for the country. Some of the themes included: not littering, not killing and to giving money to poor people. Lexi's group dreams of a world where people are nice to each other.
The man of my dreams is making my drum dreams come true. Together we have wrapped a maple PDP kit he gave me for my birthday (you can see my old bass drum at the back right). You can count on the fact that I will be sharing lots of photos of my new sparkly drums. This picture doesn't do them justice. They are amazing. P.S. My old pink shells are for sale if anyone is interested.
The kiddles got to drink their own "champagne" (sparkling grape juice) to celebrate the start of 2013. The 4-year-old said that it tasted "crumbly" which I thought was a good way to describe the carbonation. The 3-year-old SpiderMan couldn't get enough of it.
