07.30.13 Eagle peeps

Been working very hard for the past week on a video for an Eagle-wide meeting on Thursday explaining what we did this summer. Put the finishing touches on it with these portraits.

07.27.13 Jingles

She is a good cat and these two are inseparable.

07.26.13 the power of social media

On Thursday I put a picture on Facebook taken by the foster coordinator at the Humane Society. It was of a sweet snowshoe kitten who would be our next foster kitten and I'd pick her up the next days. About 20 minutes later Mary Anne Neil called me and said, "I want that baby!" Denise now has a furry sister.

07.25.13 Ma Green's cooking

Spent the day in the studio with my man making some musical magic. Had a break for lunch where his mama made some culinary magic of her own.

07.20.13 Meet Moe

Picked up two foster kittens we'll have for a few weeks. They have both been losing weight at the shelter and need to be fostered to gain some elbees. Prince is the other boy and he's just as charming as Moe. I guarantee you'll see plenty of photos here in the near future.

07.18.13 America the Beautiful

Stumbled upon this great park while looking for a place to throw a Frisbee. I learned that my honey knows his way around a flying disc. I didn't do as we'll and I'm the one who took Ultimate Frisbee as a college class (true story, we had to have six gym credits).

07.17.13 rafting

Spent the day rafting the Arkansas River (they pronounce it correctly here) with the CRGthree. Great day and I'm really regretting not bringing the waterproof camera.

Our guide told me about this project that might be in place next summer in the same area where we rafted.

07.16.13 Pike's Peak

On top of the world.

07.14.13 rain

I only shoot rainbows and kittens.

07.13.13 Ice, Ice, Baby

Not as good as this one but it made me giggle.

Robin: "Ice Ice Baby" was a song by Vanilla Ice. It's a pop culture reference you might not know but I love you anyway.

07.12.13 Furever homes

I spent the day kitty wrangling. I delivered Mama Mia to a friend down the street, a friend of a friend adopted the Butters (Buttercream and Butterscotch) and I dropped off Cinnamon and Milkshake at the Humane Society where they were adopted a few hours later. I'm thrilled. I'll find out tomorrow if they were adopted together.

This is Rachel who came to visit the kittens before they were gone.

07.11.13 sleeping on the job

Milkshake takes a nap after completing her morning chores. Gonna miss these babies. They all leave on Friday.

07.10.13 sweet things

All of the kitties were fixed in the morning and acted like nothing happen by 5 o'clock. The first thing they did was beg mama for some milk. I thought they had stopped nursing altogether but it turns out I was wrong. I've learned that they'd nurse their entire life if they could. They were gentle with mama who also just had surgery.

Check out this picture from seven weeks ago when the kittens were three weeks old.

07.09.13 Mama Mia

Sweet Mama was spayed and is doing well in her recovery. She is a much happier cat now. She went into heat last week and was a yowling hot mess. Much better now.

07.08.13 Bonnie Bing

Bonnie doing her comedy thing for an upcoming roast. She's funny.

07.05.13 Marbles

Went with Brook to visit her 43-year-old boyfriend Marbles. He's a hairy so-and-so. Brook and Marbles have been friends for at least five years. She visits him usually once a week and he immediately recognizes her - it's amazing.
Brook also volunteers with the chimps so she has been able to get a little closer to them than the public, but not that close. Marbles adores Brook's curly hair and crazy nail colors. He also has a toe fetish.

07.03.13 music theater

Backstage during a photo shoot for Music Theatre of Wichita's "The King and I."

07.02.13 Two great kitties that are great together

The Butters (Butterscotch and Buttercream) and Mama Mia are spoken for when they are ready to be adopted in two weeks. Cinnamon and Milkshake are looking for their furever home. They are two great kitties. Cinnamon is a very athletic and loving boy. He loves to jump and pounce. Milkshare likes to play, too, but is just as comfortable in your lap.
